Take a trip back in time! We’ve got a treasure trove of Victorian and 20th Century working life in Bath. Come and visit to experience real objects and real heritage – we think it’s so much better than looking at things on a screen – and learn about stories of working life and people in the past. See you soon!
Please email any research and archives queries to firstname.lastname@example.org – we will be delighted to help with your research enquiries.

How to find us
We are just 10-15 minutes walk from Bath city centre.
From the Assembly Rooms and Fashion Museum, cross Bennett Street and go up Russell Street to the junction at the top. Turn right onto Rivers Street for a few metres and cross over to Julian Road. You’ll see Christ Church and the church car park directly opposite – walk through the car park, and you will arrive at our red front door.
There are nearby bus stops on Julian Road and Lansdown Road. The Julian Road stop is served by bus numbers 700 and 20C, and Lansdown Road by numbers 2, 6, 7, 79, and 620. The Lansdown Park and Ride service also stops here. Visit the Travelwest website for more details.
We encourage visitors to walk, cycle and use public transport. The nearest car park is Charlotte Street. The Museum does not have its own car park: Christ Church car park is not part of the museum and is not available for visitors’ use.
