Scrooge: A Christmas Carol film screening

7th December 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Not to be missed!  A special screening of Scrooge: A Christmas Carol

(1951 dir. Brian Desmond Hurst; 87 mins.)

Alastair Sim is truly unforgettable as Scrooge in Dickens’s well-loved ghost story. Tremble as Michael Hordern appears as the Ghost of Old Jacob Marley, laugh with Hattie Jacques’s Mrs Fezziwig, and spot famous names of the fifties such as George Cole, Hermione Baddeley and Jack Warner (before Dixon of Dock Green).

If you’ve seen it before, you’ll know this is a guaranteed enjoyable evening.  If you haven’t – you’re in for a treat!

No advance booking, make sure you arrive in good time (doors open from 7.00 p.m) – £5 donation to the museum on the door.  Wine or soft drinks available.

Christmas shopping– why not choose some unusual gifts from the Museum shop?

Remember – we are now open weekends only, Saturday and Sunday 10.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. (last admission 4.00 p.m.), November—March. Shop is open during these times.
