End of the Line? The Past and Future of Bath’s Trams

Julian Road
June 22 - July 23

Exhibition and Presentations

In 1939 the last public tram system in Bath was closed. Motor buses replaced the Bath trams, which had operated in some parts of the city since 1880. The exhibition comprises models, equipment and photographs concerning the history of the Bath tramway system. The displays also include suggestions on how public transport might develop in the future. Will trams ever make a comeback in Bath?

At 5.30 each day, local experts Peter Davey and Colin Maggs will give presentations on aspects of the history of the Bath trams network. During the day, there will be short presentations and documentary film footage – some of it never seen before.
